Rhea Ripley, a well-known figure in WWE, was compelled to relinquish her Women’s World Championship title in April owing to an injury she sustained. Reports suggest that Ripley suffered a shoulder injury during an unexpected attack by Liv Morgan in an episode of RAW aired on April 8th. This was perceived to be a retaliatory move by Morgan, as a part of her plot, in light of Ripley making her lay low last year.
The initial prognosis for her recovery estimated a period of 4-6 weeks followed by another three months before she could resume her performances in the ring. Dave Meltzer, in an issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealed the following information:
“Rhea Ripley is currently undergoing physiotherapy for her shoulder instead of opting for an operation. At present, she is not slated to return for SummerSlam, however, we’ve been informed that if her recovery pace surprises us or there are alterations in the storyline necessitating her presence, a return still might be on the table. If the rehabilitation fails to adequately heal the shoulder, there could be a possibility of surgery.”
