In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, the legendary ECW wrestler Tommy Dreamer couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about Rey Fenix’s latest appearance on AEW’s Dynamite.
Dreamer stated, “I’m so happy to have him back. I mean, he’s one of these guys that I really thought would be up there like a Rey Mysterio. He has such a unique…he’s so good. Him and his brother I’m such big fans of. But the guy’s been hurt a bunch of times, and I hope his health continues, cause you get to see how unique he is and how good he is.”
Fenix, having emerged victorious in a #1 Contendership Fatal 4-Way Match on Dynamite, has secured his chance to challenge the reigning AEW International Champion, Will Ospreay.
The championship contest is slated for the upcoming Dynamite episode, which will air live from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The anticipated showdown will be broadcast on TBS on Wednesday, the 12th of June.
