A recent guest on the Busted Open podcast was professional wrestler Samoa Joe. During the interview, he took a look back at his reign as the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
He was the ultimate winner of the title when he defeated MJF at the sports event, Worlds End. However, he eventually lost it to Swerve Strickland at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view event.
“Certainly, it is a great honor to be handed the responsibility of being the heavyweight or world champion in wrestling. I treated it with the seriousness it deserves. Whenever I had the chance to assume that role, I made my utmost effort to deliver a performance that will get people to engage with us and see the work we’re doing. That’s just about all I can say about that. It was an incredible experience, and I’m eager to find my way back there sooner rather than later,” Joe shared.
