Following her impressive win against Becky Lynch in the WWE King & Queen of The Ring 2024 showdown, Liv Morgan is the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
Morgan has kept audiences captivated with her relentless quest for vengeance against Rhea Ripley all year long, vowing to take possession of everything “Mami” values, including her title ‘The Judgment Day.’
On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray offered his thoughts on the situation.
Ray expressed his pleasure with Morgan’s current championship reign, stressing the significance of weaving a compelling storyline. This is particularly pertinent, considering the recent experiences involving Liv, Dominik Mysterio, and the awaited return of Ripley.
Ray stated, “I like Liv being champion right now. I like the way they’ve gotten there. I like the fact that they didn’t just put that championship on Liv in that battle royal, now I think people are seeing why it was a better decision not to put the championship on her in the battle royal — or at least open-minded people.”
He went further, “You put the championship on her in that battle royal, there’s nowhere to go with her. With this, this is a monster story involved. The story of Liv and Dom, Dom and the Judgment Day, Dom and whatever happens when Rhea comes back, we’re in the storytelling business, as you know.”
