The scheduled return of Brock Lesnar to WWE TV for the 2024 Royal Rumble was put on hold following a sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and the WWE. Lesnar, who is remarkably recognized as a previous WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion, uniquely corresponded with the lawsuit’s identification of a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Interestingly, Lesnar had been penciled to battle against Dominik Mysterio at the 2024 Elimination Chamber and to confront Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER at the 40th WrestleMania. But both of these matches were subsequently dropped. Triple H, at the 40th WrestleMania media briefing, confirmed Lesnar’s continued affiliation with the organization.
Renowned wrestling columnist, Dave Meltzer, disclosed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the following:
“Lesnar’s comeback hinges on clearance from WWE’s legal team; bear in mind WWE remains a defendant in the Janel Grant lawsuit – and this clearance is yet to be obtained.”
Until this clearance is obtained, Lesnar’s reappearance on WWE TV remains uncertain.
