In a past discussion with Adrian Hernandez leading up to the AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 pay-per-view event, Will Ospreay discussed his ambitions as a performer in the wrestling company.
Ospreay managed to overcome Roderick Strong in a match to secure the AEW International Title at the Sunday event.
Here are some key points from his questioning session:
On his desire to extend AEW’s reach worldwide: “Simply put, I would love to globalize AEW further. Reflecting on the success of All In that attracted some 81,035 attendees, it’s clear we have potential. We should think, ‘what else is possible?’ There is an evident market in Australia … . I [participated] in a French event for a company named Rixe, bringing in some 1,500 individuals, a significant audience considering it was mostly for me. Now, imagine if we sent the whole group there?”
On his hopes of introducing AEW to Japan and Australia: “I have a desire to return to Japan and bring AEW’s entertainment with me… I’d also love to do something in Australia. My aim is to spread AEW far and wide because I believe every country has a niche market waiting for us, so why shouldn’t we venture out and explore?”
