The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has successfully brokered a streaming arrangement with The CW. This announcement was made public in February 2024. The agreement includes the airing of “Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland,” an unscripted show that will also be available on The CW’s mobile application.
Billy Corgan recently engaged in a conversation with Scott Fishman of TV Insider. The music icon and wrestling promoter revealed that another television agreement for the NWA is on the verge of being officially announced. Corgan’s exact words were:
“I’ve actually just concluded another television deal, which remains to be publicized. I came across someone within the wrestling media disparaging the achievements of NWA. However, I don’t know many independent companies, solely supported by a single individual like me, that have three television contracts. We’re certainly facing numerous battles, not just in delivering a wrestling product that appeals to fans, but also in shattering the global misbelief that our efforts are futile. There’s a rampant misconception that without billions in your pocket, it’s impossible to muster enough momentum. What’s overlooked, though, is that I’m one of a select few individuals globally, who know how to create something substantial from scratch, multiple times. I’ve seen firsthand that it’s achievable through faith, commitment, and perseverance. The insight into the behind-the-scenes events — which aren’t fabricated, but actual occurrences — will be intriguing. I’m adamant about having genuine and organic narratives. I’m curious if this will be interpreted as integrity or a shortcoming on the company’s part. I view it as a strength; we don’t have anything to hide.”
