In the latest episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Booker T, reveals his viewpoints on a variety of topics, inclusive of his reluctance to take on the role of a WWE manager and the promising potential he sees in previous NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov.
Here are some standout points from the podcast:
Discussing the notion of potentially guiding Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair as the new Harlem Heat, he shares, “I find the idea intriguing, yet I’m not keen on managing anyone, honestly. Both Bianca and Jade are wonderful and seeing them don the glowing red certainly evokes memories of my time with Harlem Heat. Observing these two, they indeed form an energetic pair. However, I’d rather not be a manager. I enjoy spectating from afar, from that “30,000-foot view,” let’s say. I revel in the opportunity to just watch. I no longer wish to be touring, traveling from city to city, state to state, country to country. I’m at a stage where I’m happy and fulfilled with solely working on NXT and being an integral part of the NXT team.”
On the matter of Ilja Dragunov, he passionately shares, “One of these days, you’re going to take my word for it. You’re going to start lending credibility to the things that I discuss. Dragunov possesses an unparalleled talent. He’s on an entirely different level. He can showcase his skills against anyone, that’s who Ilja Dragunov is. I reckon that 20 years down the line, everyone from this generation, this era, will talk about just how exceptional Ilja Dragunov was.”
