WWE recently organised numerous King and Queen of the Ring tournament matches as live events rather than televised shows. LA Knight, a WWE performer, supported the decision on Twitter, stating that hosting these matches as live events brings an element of excitement to the experience. His tweet read:
“I appreciate everyone saying this match should’ve been on TV. But, no need to throw live event crowds under the bus. Live events are where the @WWE roster has as much fun as possible. Not only having a great match, but a match with HUGE stakes makes the live events more fun!”
On another interesting note, Jade Cargill, during the latest episode of the “Battleground” podcast, shared her feelings about performing for European audiences in WWE’s latest tour. The tour included a trip to Lyon, France, where she and Bianca Belair secured the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
She shared, “It was so many feelings. It’s memorable, it’s flooring. Oh my gosh, it’s humbling, it’s electrifying…The crowd in France, and in Europe in general — Italy, Austria — it’s crazy, it’s electrifying. It makes you want to go out there and do more. I remember at the live shows I didn’t even want to leave…”
Finally, in other WWE news, Naomi tweeted a backstage photo of herself with the seasoned women’s champion Jazz, showcasing her appreciation and respect for Jazz. Naomi’s message read, “[Jazz] ran so I could walk and glow. Thank you for everything you deserve all the flowers.”
