Professional AEW wrestler Cash Wheeler isn’t facing a trial for charges related to aggravated assault any longer.
Wheeler was previously slated to appear in court later this month, facing charges pertaining to aggravated assault involving a firearm. The charges originated from a road rage event that reportedly happened in August 2023, where Wheeler allegedly brandished a gun at another motorist.
A report furnished by Pwinsider indicated that the prosecution’s office submitted a ‘nolle prosequi’, which is a formal declaration of case abandonment by a plaintiff or prosecutor.
As it stands now, there is not any information regarding the reasons for the case’s termination. Even though a pre-trial hearing was previously scheduled for the following day, it will understandably not happen now.
In conclusion, Wheeler’s bail bond has been returned and the case has been officially declared closed.
