Matt Hardy, a former WWE and AEW star, recently discussed his experiences with the six-sided ring used in TNA. During an episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” Hardy touched on his adaptability to the different ring structure and more.

Here are some key points from the podcast:

Discussing TNA’s six-sided ring, Hardy said, “It was much more difficult compared to a four-sided ring, but I was fine with its uniqueness as it served as TNA’s trademark.” He credited the ring structure with making TNA standout.

He added that it was particularly challenging due to six sides being shorter, which could sometimes make it confusing when a competitor grabbed you quickly. Contrasting it with a four-sided ring, which offers clear direction, Hardy noted that one could easily get mixed up in a six-sided ring.

Speaking of his high-flying style, Hardy, however, stated that the six-sided ring didn’t alter his style significantly. Although with the TNA ring, it could have been a challenge for the high fliers as their feet stood wider on the ring, he noted.

Despite challenges, Hardy was comfortable wrestling in a six-sided ring as he understood its significance to TNA’s persona. However, he found wrestling in a four-sided ring much simpler and less complex.
