During a recent episode of the “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, Kyle O’Reilly expressed his opinions on the premiere of AEW in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Growing up in close proximity to Vancouver, O’Reilly warmly reflected on his first live wrestling event at Rogers Arena, which happens to be the location for tonight’s AEW Collision and Rampage TV recordings.
The podcast highlights are outlined below:
Regarding his initial attendance at a wrestling event at Rogers Arena, O’Reilly stated: “It’s truly a moment where everything has come full circle for me. It’s quite remarkable and extremely special. My first-ever live wrestling event took place at GM Place, now known as Roger’s Arena, back in 1998. I went with my father and one of my friends, and the experience had a lasting impact; I can remember numerous details even now.”
When asked about the participation of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in the show, he remarked: “Interestingly enough, the only wrestlers who participated in that event and are currently a part of AEW are Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. It’s fascinating. I’ve also mentioned this to them. Now, 25 years later, I’m returning to that building and, it’s going to be an interesting experience.”
O’Reilly is slated to go head-to-head with Adam Copeland for the TNT Title in tonight’s episode of AEW Collision.
