In a recent post on Instagram, Nikki Cross, the globally recognized WWE superstar, announced the completion of her Master’s Degree. This was one of her objectives which she had established last year.
She made this announcement writing, “Graduation from MSc Masters in History, June 2023. Really gripping that degree tight in the second photograph, after all, knowledge holds immense power. I am now working towards a PhD, with an expected completion date in 2029. The final picture showcases my typical morning, with a box of tissues for the crying and an inevitable cup of coffee.”
Cross’ announcement garnered a lot of traction, and in other news, fellow WWE athlete Jade Cargill reflected on her debut match in AEW during the COVID-19 era.
In a conversation on the “Battleground” podcast, the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion expressed her thoughts about her journey so far in the wrestling world. Particularly, she was questioned about her evolution as a wrestler since her introduction in Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place.
In response, Cargill stated, “It doesn’t seem like it’s much time back. It was certainly more difficult to perform in front of my colleagues during the pandemic. Everyone knows what’s going on, which makes it even more nerve-wracking for me to perform in front of my colleagues than in front of fans. I adore interacting with the fans. The reaction of the European fans was overwhelming and thrilling. Even when things went off script, they showed support and encouragement.”
Cargill continued, “Reflecting on my time at Daily’s Place, I wouldn’t have imagined being where I am right now. I believed that I would be in a similar place as when I debuted professionally. I was always conscious about my extraordinary potential, and I believe I am unique in the wrestling world. While I didn’t think I’d be in my current position, I also knew I was destined for greatness.”
