Emily Blunt may have received a free ticket to watch WWE WrestleMania 40, but the award-winning actress did not go to Philadelphia.
In the days leading up to the show, The Rock had revealed that he had extended an invite to his friend and colleague to watch the two-night event in Lincoln Financial Field.
On a recent edition of “The Howard Stern Show” podcast, Blunt discussed the Final Boss’ invitation to be at WrestleMania 40. She said,
“I watched it at home, I did not go watch it live. I wanted to but I felt I should… You know because I never, you know, to be honest with you, I never watched him wrestle.”
Blunt added that her brother was obsessed with wrestling when they were younger and that it’s “crazy” she now gets to work with the man her brother idolized.
The Rock and Blunt were co-stars in The Jungle Cruise and it is believed she will be working with him again as part of A24’s The Smashing Machine.
