Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes believes it’s just a matter of time before he steps in the ring with GUNTHER with gold on the line.
On a recent “Twitter Spaces” alongside Triple H, Rhodes was asked about possibly facing the Austrian and is sure the match will happen one day. He said,
“I do think that he and I are probably destined to clash at some point. That’s something I really look forward to because here, here’s why this is maybe a little inside baseball; Gunther is somebody that really is popular with the most hardcore wrestling fans, and there are definitely a bazillion different pockets of fandom. For the hardcore fans who are always with it, ups and downs, ebbs and flows.”
GUNTHER and Rhodes were the final two Superstars in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match which was won by the American Nightmare.
During a recent WWE live event in Vienna, Austria, GUNTHER vowed that the next time WWE comes to his home country, he will be a WWE World Champion.
