TNA Reportedly Expresses Interest in Reinstating Tessa Blanchard

According to a new report, there have been some preliminary internal discussions regarding the possibility of bringing Tessa Blanchard back to the company.

Pwinsider is reporting that there have been some early discussions within the company about bringing the former Impact Wrestling World Champion back.

While there is currently no indication that TNA has reached out to Blanchard, the talks have been taking place internally. So it’s unlikely that Blanchard is even aware that the company is interested in her at this point. Although there was some speculation among those in the company that the “Lights Out” tease last week could have been for her, that turned out to be for Matt Hardy.

Blanchard previously captured the Impact World Championship at Hard to Kill 2020. On that same day, she was accused of bullying by the likes of Chelsea Green, Big Swole, Allysin Kay, Gigi Dolin, Isla Dawn, Rebel and others. One of the accusations was that she spit on La Rosa Negra’s face during a live event in Japan in 2017. She was said to have also used a racial slur during that same incident. Blanchard denied the racial slur, but did apologize for the incident with Nega and the two have since buried the hatchet.

Blanchard was stripped of the Impact Wrestling World Championship in June of 2020 and was eventually fired after the two sides failed to reach an agreement for Blanchard to appear at Slammiversary to defend her title.

Title: TNA Wrestling Reportedly Considering Tessa Blanchard’s Return Amidst Controversy

Introduction:
In recent news, it has been revealed that TNA Wrestling (formerly Impact Wrestling) has been engaged in internal discussions regarding the potential return of former Impact Wrestling World Champion, Tessa Blanchard. While no official contact has been made with Blanchard, these preliminary talks suggest that the company is considering bringing her back into the fold. This article delves into the details of the discussions and sheds light on the controversy surrounding Blanchard’s departure from the company.

Background:
Tessa Blanchard, daughter of professional wrestling legend Tully Blanchard, rose to prominence in the wrestling world after capturing the Impact World Championship at Hard to Kill 2020. However, her reign was marred by allegations of bullying and misconduct made by several fellow wrestlers, including Chelsea Green, Big Swole, Allysin Kay, Gigi Dolin, Isla Dawn, Rebel, and others. One specific incident involved Blanchard allegedly spitting on La Rosa Negra’s face during a live event in Japan in 2017. Additionally, she was accused of using a racial slur during the same incident. Although Blanchard denied the racial slur accusation, she did apologize for her actions towards Negra, and the two have since reconciled.

The Controversy:
The controversy surrounding Blanchard’s behavior ultimately led to her being stripped of the Impact Wrestling World Championship in June 2020. Subsequently, negotiations between Blanchard and the company to have her defend her title at Slammiversary fell through, resulting in her eventual termination.

Internal Discussions:
Despite the tumultuous circumstances surrounding Blanchard’s departure, recent reports indicate that TNA Wrestling has been engaged in internal discussions about potentially bringing her back. These discussions suggest that there may be a renewed interest in working with Blanchard, although it remains uncertain whether any formal contact has been made with the wrestler.

Speculation and Misdirection:
The recent “Lights Out” tease, which sparked speculation among fans and insiders alike, was initially thought to be related to Blanchard. However, it was later revealed that the tease was for the return of Matt Hardy, further fueling the uncertainty surrounding Blanchard’s potential comeback.

Conclusion:
As TNA Wrestling continues to explore its options for future talent acquisitions, the possibility of Tessa Blanchard’s return has emerged as a topic of internal discussion. While no concrete plans have been revealed, these preliminary talks indicate that the company is open to the idea of working with Blanchard once again. However, given the controversy surrounding her previous tenure, it remains to be seen how fans and fellow wrestlers would react to her potential return.
